The annual Readiness Institute Summit is a daylong, interactive event enabling education, industry, and community partners to coordinate, collaborate, and create experiences for all learners to design and lead in personal, professional, and public matters.
Participants will play a pivotal role at the summit, envisioning an education ecosystem alongside learners, partners, and experts where every learner trusts that they have a coordinated system to help them achieve their goals and assume their role as informed, intelligent, and caring citizens.
The second annual Readiness Institute Summit in 2022 included collaborative activities and discussions focused on learner success and strategies to promote a learner-center model in education. Sessions were led by education leaders including Devin Vodicka and Katie Martin from the Learner-Centered Collaborative, Lance Lindauer from the Partnership to Advance Responsible Technology (PART), and Dr. Stan Thompson from The Heinz Endowments.
Readiness Institute collaborators were honored at the summit event for their commitment to learner-centered programs in Pittsburgh. Sam Moore, executive director of the Moonshot Museum, was presented with the 2022 Stanley Thompson Future Ready Leader of the Year Award, and Angela Mike, executive director of the Career Technical Education (CTE) division of Pittsburgh Public School District, received the 2022 Tracey DeBlase Huston Community Leader of the Year Award.
