The Launch Your Future internship and certificate program, presented by the Carnegie Science Center in partnership with the Readiness Institute at Penn State, offers an exciting opportunity for students aged 14–18 to explore careers in the growing space industry.
Did you know there are more than 100 space companies in Southwestern Pennsylvania? Pittsburgh’s space sector is expanding, and this program is designed to help students discover their place in it — whether in engineering, technical writing, social media management, or other career pathways.
During the program, participants will:
- engage in hands-on challenges and real-world problem-solving
- connect with space professionals to learn about careers in the industry
- develop career readiness skills that apply to any field
- earn a Future Ready certificate upon program completion
- receive a $600 stipend and a $100 transportation stipend for participation
