This workshop is open to Summer Discovery 2025 students. Check your email for registration details or email readinessinstitute@psu.edu.
This online workshop, held via Zoom, will introduce you to the Schreyer Honors College, help you start thinking about your college essay, and equip you with tips and tricks for improving your essay. You will also have the opportunity to “be an admissions counselor,” reading application essays from past years and discussing whether you would/wouldn’t accept the applicant and why.
Even if you’re not applying to Schreyer, we encourage all Summer Discovery participants to join us for this workshop because it can help you learn how to write a stronger, more unique essay! This workshop will be led by Deyo Olorunnisola, Director of Admissions for the Schreyer Honors College at Penn State.
