As many of the learners from our Readiness Institute Summer Program know, our connection doesn’t just end after the summer. We continue to stay in touch with learners when they go back for their senior year, after they graduate high school, and beyond. We’ve been checking in with some of the young adults who were a part of program and have now graduated high school and are on to their next steps of adulthood.
In late March, the Readiness Institute team was joined by the Holocaust, Genocide and Human Rights Education Initiative (HGHREI) at Penn State to host an informative and inspiring workshop for educators about “Framing Difficult Issues to Support K-12 Classroom Discussion.”
Emma Hance, program manager and strategic planning specialist for the Readiness Institute at Penn State, and Christopher Robinson, assistant professor of social work and director of the bachelor of social work program at Penn State Greater Allegheny, are among Pittsburgh Magazine’s 40 Under 40 for 2023.
Readiness Institute will be hosting Penn State Day at Moonshot Museum to celebrate launching the Hope Moonshot project to the moon.
